At the mural… Emergency Cut Flower Garden Dedication

Not everyone has access to or can afford flowers. This garden is for the people in need of flowers for either condolences, a celebration or to say you are sorry. This idea was inspired by local Fremont neon and glass artist, Dr. Rodman Miller, and his love of flowers.

Saturday, November 16, 2024 at noon, rain or shine. (In the event of rain we will meet at the underpass by the mural)

Meet at Mural by Whitman Ave North and North 38th Street

Slideshow features the planned garden and several of Dr. Rodman Gilder Miller’s sculptures.

His nearby work includes: Rapunzel, Elephant’s Child, Fremont Rocket Neon, Fremont Solstice Apartment Facade; Railing at former Starbuck’s location (Originally Peet’s Coffee. a project done with Anne Sher); Wallingford Boys and Girls Club Fence (with Mimi Riley); Sputnik; and Blue Plate Special.

A special thanks to the City of Seattle, Office of Arts and Culture for their support of this effort.

Complimentary flower bulbs and seeds will be provided to event participants as long as supplies last.
